Martin O’Neill on the exclusivity of capitalism
Martin O’Neill is a political philosopher who teaches in the Politics department at the University of York and is serving as a lead author for Chapter 6: Markets, Finance and Corporations — Does Capitalism Have a Future? In this interview, he discusses current issues with capitalism including the creation of excessive economic inequality which results in a negative feedback of political and ideological inequalities. He offers some ideas of how an economic structure could mitigate inequalities, and discusses how the motivation of the IPSP reflects a hunger for analysis and solutions related to economic problems.
