Andreas Peichl discusses the relationship between taxes and the redistribution of income and opportunities
Andreas Peichl is Professor of Quantitative Public Economics at the University of Mannheim and serves as a lead author for Chapter 3: Inequality and Social Progress. In this interview, he discusses the potential for tax and wealth redistribution policies to afford everybody the opportunity of a decent life. He also discusses his hope for the IPSP to motivate both public actors and policymakers to create change with respect to wealth and opportunity inequality.
