Karl Ove Moene discusses egalitarian economies and inequality in developing countries
Karl Ove Moene is a professor of economics at the University of Oslo and serves as a coordinating lead author for Chapter 8 – Social Justice, Well-Being and Economic Organization. In this interview, he discusses the state of the more egalitarian Northern European economies and explains that although some developing countries like South Africa are seeing higher income per capita, inequality is actually increasing. He warns that on a global average, this trend is on the rise.
